Dolly Parton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
She was earlier requested to "respectfully bow out" of consideration for the honor.
Earlier in March, Parton said that she was not intended herself as a Rock Star and was so gratified to be nominated for the same.
She was, however, too late because the ballots had already been distributed.
In November, Parton will join Eminem, Carly Simon, the Eurythmics, and Duran Duran in the Hall of Fame.
Lionel Richie, the soul superstar, and Pat Benatar, the singer of Hit Me With Your Best Shot, are among the newcomers this season.
Parton initially turned down the award, claiming that country music was not qualified.
